Meet Brooke Foxworthy...

Brooke h. foxworthy, ph.d., lpc-mhsp

Brooke is a counselor and adjunct professor for Lipscomb University.  Brooke is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider (Lic #2472) in the State of Tennessee.  Brooke’s educational background includes a Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Counseling, a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, all from Trevecca Nazarene University.  Brooke is a member of the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselors Association, American Mental Health Counselors Association, American Counseling Association, and the Nashville Area Association of Christian Counselors.

Brooke’s vision for counseling is to, “foster an environment that promotes the client’s exploration of resolutions to life’s problems.”  Brooke understands that therapy can be a difficult, yet rewarding process.  Brooke believes that the real work of therapy must be done by the client and works collaboratively with the client to identify therapy goals and the “roadmap” to the achievement of those goals.

Brooke works to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment for adults and adolescents that are experiencing anxiety, depression, relational conflicts, body image and other self-esteem issues, behavioral problems, and other mental health concerns.  Because Brooke believes that each client presents unique problems, she uses an integrative approach to therapy that draws mainly from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Brooke is available for weekday and limited evening appointments.
